This Privacy Addendum for California Residents ("Notice") supplements our Privacy Policy and applies solely to visitors, users, and others who reside in the State of California ("consumers" or "you"). We adopt this Notice to comply with the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 ("CCPA") and other California privacy laws. Terms defined in the CCPA have the same meaning here.

Information We Collect

To provide you with a quote, we first collect certain information — typically your name, email address, phone number, and zip code. Generally, this is information that identifies, relates to, describes, or could reasonably be linked with a particular consumer or device ("personal information"). We obtain this information directly from you (for example, through our website), indirectly through the course of providing our services, and through your activity on our website.

How We Use Personal Information

We may use or disclose the personal information we collect to:

  • Provide the information, products, or services you request from us.
  • Send you alerts, notices, and communications about our services.
  • Carry out our obligations and enforce our rights under any contract entered into with you.
  • Improve our website and its content.
  • Conduct testing, research, analysis, and product development.
  • Protect the rights, property, or safety of us, our customers, or others.
  • Respond to law enforcement requests and comply with applicable law.

We will not collect additional categories of personal information or use the information we collect for materially different, unrelated, or incompatible purposes without providing you notice.

Sharing Personal Information

We may disclose your personal information to a third party for a business purpose under a contract that requires the recipient to keep it confidential and use it only to perform that contract. In the preceding 12 months, we have disclosed Identifiers, California Customer Records information, Protected classification characteristics, and Internet/network activity for a business purpose — to our business affiliates, third-party service providers, and other parties you or your agents authorize.

Your Rights and Choices

Access and Data Portability

You may request that we disclose the categories and specific pieces of personal information we've collected about you, the sources of that information, our purpose for collecting it, and the categories of third parties we share it with.

Deletion

You may request that we delete personal information we've collected from you, subject to certain exceptions — for example, where we need the information to complete a transaction, detect security incidents, or comply with a legal obligation.

Opt-Out of Sale

California residents have the right to opt out of the sale of their personal information. This right is subject to certain exemptions, such as for de-identified/aggregated information or information shared with service providers to perform business functions for us.

Exercising Your Rights

To exercise any of these rights, you or your authorized agent may contact us or call (888) 711-1284. Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a verifiable request; we may need to verify your identity before processing certain requests. You may make an access or data-portability request up to twice within a 12-month period. There is no charge for making a privacy-related request.

Response Timing

We aim to respond to a verifiable consumer request within 45 days of receipt. If we need more time (up to 90 days), we will let you know the reason and extension period in writing. Disclosures cover only the 12-month period preceding the request.

Non-Discrimination

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights — we will not deny you goods or services, charge different prices, or provide a different level or quality of service because you exercised these rights.

Changes to This Notice

We reserve the right to amend this Notice at our discretion and at any time. When we make changes, we will notify you by posting an updated notice on this website.
